MAMA's Vision

To empower mothers of Autistic children to lead with confidence, competence, conviction, and spiritual anchoring in order to cultivate  سَكِينَة Sakinah (tranquil inner peace) within their hearts and homes.

We envision homes where:

  • Mothers are regulated and spiritually grounded.

  • Autistic children are supported with dignity, sincerity and excellence.

  • Neurodivergence is embraced as part of Allah's Divine design.

  • Faith and evidence-based practices co-exist in balance.

  • Clarity replaces confusion.

  • شَرْحُ الصَّدْرِ Sharh us-Sadr (opening up/widening of the chest) replaces ضَيْقُ الصَّدْرِ Diq us-Sadr (tightness/narrowing of the chest).

At the core of MAMA is the belief that when a mother finds Sakinah, the home finds stability and when the home stabilizes, the child can thrive.

MAMA's Mission

At MAMA we strive to transform neurodivergent parenting from a place of isolation and anxiety to a journey of growth, competence and joy.

We achieve this through:

  • Comprehensive and compassionate diagnostic consultations.

  • Personalized coaching for Parent-Mediated Intervention, integrating evidence-based practices with Islamic values.

  • Interactive, hands-on workshops.

  • Meticulously designed resources including visual supports.

We guide parents to nurture their autistic child through تَرْبِيَة Tarbiyah (holistic nurturing) grounded in رَحْمَة rahmah (compassion), إِحْسَان ihsan (excellence), mizan مِيزَان (balance), صَبْر sabr (patience) and تَدَبُّر tadabbur (deep reflection on the Word of Allah).

MAMA's Stepping Stone Journey

We believe that a diagnosis is not a destination, but the beginning of a beautiful journey of discovery. Our consultation ecosystem is built on the strength of partnership and collaboration, bridging the gap between clinical expertise and your family’s daily lived experiences. By following our Diagnostic, Design, and Implementation stages, we help you move from confusion to clarity, and from haphazard support to intentional modeling.

We have designed specialized tracks for those seeking a diagnosis as well as those already diagnosed, with tailored paths for both nonspeaking and verbal learners. MAMA's Resource Hub

The MAMA Resource Hub is a curated collection of practical, evidence-based tools designed to transform confusion into clarity, empowering your curious and eager autistic learner through the strength of visual learning. Whether you are a parent navigating the path toward Sakinah in your home, or a professional seeking effective resources to support neurodivergent learners in therapy centers, special education settings, or general classrooms, these tools are built with your needs in mind.

You are just one click away from a rich library of visual schedules, Now & Next cards, choice boards, and social stories, alongside professional guides, checklists, trackers, and much more. Why wait? Explore our resources today to start ticking off one magical milestone at a time.

I understand the confusion and the overwhelm. I lived it for years. I’ve compiled this guide to share 12 vital lessons from my first 12 years of parenting Musa. My hope is that by sharing my mistakes, I can help you find your footing and your path toward Sakinah much sooner.

MAMA's Knowledge Base

Our commitment to supporting the autistic community is built upon a foundation of sound academic footing, Islamic principles, lived experience, and continuous professional growth.

MAMA’s "Learn About Autism" section originated as a dedicated project during my Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders at the University of Kansas (KU) in 2022. Each tab below will take you to academic summaries of the specialized courses that shaped my clinical lens.

Our team, along with our growing MAMA family, remains deeply committed to exploring the evolving landscape of neurodiversity. In the MAMA Journal, we weave together global research and clinical data with personal reflections and the lived experiences of our community. This space is a tapestry of thoughts expressed through researched essays, reflective notes, and practical tips, as well as poetry, art, and other creative expressions. Explore our latest Journal entries for direction, discussion and inspiration.

No question is too small when it comes to your child’s world. Whether you need more details on our services or a bit of clarity on your next step, we’re here to help you navigate the way forward with ease.

I initially enrolled at KU with a single goal, to learn how to better support my son, Musa. But Allah, Al-Fattah ٱلْفَتَّاحُ opened doors I never knew existed, transforming a mother’s quest for answers into a mission to serve others. Explore Our Journey So Far to see how MAMA began and how its path has evolved since its inception in December of 2022.

It has been lovely sharing this space with you today.

As you navigate your own path, a sincere reminder:

Seek Al-Haady الهادي (The Guide) when you feel lost,

and tightly hold on to Tawakkul تَوَكُّل.

إن شاء الله, one day you too will see the profound beauty in His Divine planning.

آمِينَ
